Tennessee Vs Carolina Live

Titans-Panthers Preview
  1. The Titans lost, 24-17, to the Bengals last Sunday and have now dropped three of their last four games since beginning the season 3-1. Tennessee is 9-2 when scoring 21+ points and just 1-12 when putting fewer than 21 points on the board since the beginning of 2010.
  2. Carolina dropped a 24-21 decision to the Vikings in its last game before a bye in Week 9. The Panthers are 2-3 at home this season and have won three consecutive games following their bye week (last post bye-week loss in 2007 to Colts, 31-7).
  3. These two clubs last met in 2007 -- a 20-7 Tennessee victory. The Oilers/Titans own a 2-1 record all-time versus the Panthers and are 17-3 against the NFC overall since 2006.
  4. Chris Johnson had 14 carries for 64 yards last Sunday -- his best rushing performance since running for a season-high 103 yards against the Browns in Week 4. Johnson is averaging just 3.0 yards per carry in 2011 -- lowest among all NFL players with at least 100 rushes this season.
  5. Cam Newton had 290 yards through the air and a career-high three touchdown passes (0 INT) in the Panthers' Week 8 loss. Newton is averaging 299.1 pass yards per game in 2011 (fifth best in the NFL) and his 2393 passing yards overall are the most by any NFL quarterback through his first eight games since 1960.
  6. Carolina is one of just two teams in the league (New Orleans in the other) to boast three players with at least 300 rushing yards in 2011 (Williams -- 363, Stewart -- 327, Newton -- 319)
